Mr. Shambhu Amgain is the chairman and promoter of the Venus Group of companies, Nepal’s largest private sector construction and Waterproofing Company and Leading International Trading Concern. He is widely recognized his role in shaping the construction, waterproofing chemicals as well as many engineering solutions in Nepal.

With more than 50K satisfied clients, above 1K successful business projects and business tie-ups with more than 6 Multi-National Companies; Mr. Amgain is playing an active role in the development and rehabilitation of national projects through his extensive business approach.

Mr. Amgain began his career as an officer of National Sports Council of the Government of Nepal (1990-2000). He ignited his own company as Venus Group in 1996 as a Chairman and the promoter.

He is also the BOD of Ethicon’s Pvt. Ltd as well as promoter of Mega Bank Ltd and National Co-Operative Society Ltd.

Emerging as the national business icon he is also voluntarily involved and has been sacrificing his time in social services. From 2007 A.D. onwards he has been actively involved in Rotary Club, Nepal, and District-3292 and recently positioned himself as the President of the Rotary Club of Nagarjunin the year 2015-16. Through his business as well as social journey, he has travelled more than 6 countries around the world and has received many recognitions and awards nationally as well as internationally.

Mr. Amgain holds Masters of Business Studies from Tribhuwan University, Nepal and many other professional courses nationally and internationally.

He is an extraordinary business person, who believes business as an ecosystem and not a battlefield. He believes business as a symbiosis where the most diverse firm is most likely to survive and thrive. They naturally create team and adapt easily to new markets and can quickly form partnership with other companies, customers and even with the competitors.

He views ‘Change’, as an inevitable part of life. He don’t value change for his own sake, rather he say’s “Success in business is only possible if employees and organization embrace new ideas and new ways of doing business”.
